On-Site Grit Blasting of Furnace Tubes for NDT Purposes

Scope of Work
Mobilise to site to remove build up of scale and combustion contaminants from internal furnace boiler tubes to leave a surface suitable for NDT.
Abrasive: 30-60 Garnet.
Austenitic Chromium-Nickel Steel & Chrome-Moly Steel.
A self contained KUE blasting rig was mobilised to site and situated at ground level as close as possible to the work area.
Heavy duty reinforced rubber blast lines were coupled together and run from the Blast Rig to the work place.
Concurrently, KUE extraction units were installed within the furnace ensuring clear vision and providing a safer working environment for all trades.
24 hour working with multiple blast and cleaning operatives ensuring minimal downtime during critical path working.
On completion of each blasting shift, all blast debris is removed by our efficient teams of cleaning operatives leaving a clean work place for other trades.
